NEET-PG
National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Postgraduate- NEET PG or Common Entrance Test (CET) is the common entrance exam to pursue postgraduate medical courses offered in government, private, deemed and central universities across India. NEET-PG is administered by National board of examinations and is conducted once a year, usually in the first week of January.
Eligibility Criteria
- Must have passed MBBS from a University/ Institute recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI)
- Internship: Must have either completed or due to complete, a one-year rotatory internship training on or before 31st march 2020
- Must be registered with Central /State Medical Registration Council.

AIIMS-PG
AIIMS-PG is conducted twice a year to admit students for the Postgraduate courses offered by various All India Institutes of Medical Science. The examination is conducted by the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi in May and November for the sessions of July and January respectively.
Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must possess an MBBS degree from a Medical Council of India recognized institution.
- The candidate must have completed a one-year internship on or before 30th July for July session & 30th Jan for January session.
- Applicants from General Category are required to have a minimum of 55% aggregate in MBBS, while the candidates belonging to SC/ST category are required to have scored an aggregate of 50%.

JIPMER PG
JIPMER PG is a national level medical postgraduate entrance examination conducted by Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research PostGraduate. The exam aims in admitting the candidates to the various MD and MS programmes offered by the institution. The test is held in two sessions, in January and July every year.
Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must possess an MBBS degree from a Medical Council of India recognized institution.
- The candidate must have completed a one-year internship on or before November 30, 2019.
- Applicants from all categories, including OBC, should have an aggregate score of 55% in MBBS. Candidates belonging to the SC/ST Categories should have 50% marks in aggregate.

PGIMER- PG
PGIMER PG examination is conducted by the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh. The examination is conducted twice a year in November and May for the January and July session respectively. The admission to the courses of the PGI is made on merit on all India basis by holding an entrance examination by the PGI, after issuing a countrywide admission notice. The admission notice will be published in leading print media in September for January session and March for July session respectively.
Eligibility Criteria
- Must have passed MBBS from a University/ Institute recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI)
- Must have either completed or due to complete, a one-year rotating internship training on or before 31st December for January session and 30th June for July session
( as per Annexure-I) - Must be registered with Central /State Medical Registration Council.

NIMHANS
NIMHANS PG is conducted by the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences. The exam is conducted twice a year – for the January and July session. The NIMHANS offers admission to direct M.Ch. Neurosurgery/DM Neurology and MD Psychiatry courses. There will be a common entrance exam, but separate merit list for all these courses.
Eligibility Criteria
- MBBS degree from a recognized University or any other University recognized as equivalent thereto by NIMHANS and by the Medical Council of India.
- The candidate should have completed the compulsory rotational internship of one year after MBBS or its equivalent as recognized by the Medical Council of India on or before the date of commencement of course.
- Candidates who have MD/MS/DNB/DPM from a recognized University or any other University recognized as equivalent thereto by NIMHANS and by the Medical Council of India may apply for the course. However, candidates who are awaiting the results may also appear for the entrance test subject to production of proof of having passed the examination on or before the date of commencement of course

- A single common Online entrance test of 60 minutes duration with 70 questions will be conducted for candidates applying for MD in Psychiatry, DM in Neurology and M.Ch in Neurosurgery courses with MBBS qualification followed by an Online entrance test of 30 minutes duration with 30 questions for each domain [Candidates applying for any of the above three courses should appear for the entrance test of that particular course only].
- The Online Entrance Test will be conducted for 2 days at all the test centers across the country.
